A wise woman once told me “failure is opportunity”.

Today my ash product shell cracked. This is not the most ideal thing to happen a week before final hand in, but I’m taking the approach sometimes things happen for a reason. I hit a minor speed bump the other day trying to fit my Bluetooth serial in with my electronics.

It could have been altered in a less dramatic way than this but this is where we get the opportunity, now everything will be easier to fit and I will have fully working electronics.  I have had to increase the size of my shell from 38x33mm to 45x45mm. This is giving me a bit more room to play with and won’t run into any difficulties when milling it out again.  The track and the size of the balls will stay the same; there will just be more room either side of the track.

This increase in size kind makes this product less discreet as I once planed, but it is still a hand-held product and is still pleasant to touch. I will get this done in time for hand in, I just need to make sure I am efficient with my time and hopefully this can be resolved quickly.
